Join Kristen Kavcar’s Artist Workshop August 8 2-4:00 PM

Kristen will host a special all ages and abilities, hands-on, interactive workshop scheduled on (Second) Saturday, August 8 from 2-4 pm.

Kristen Daugherty Kavcar is a multimedia artist and educator based in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Her work spans photography, ceramics, illustration, mixed media, painting, and sculpture, exploring the realms of memory, family, identity, relationships, and the psychological spaces we all inhabit.

Since childhood, Kristen admits she spent much of her time off by herself making art, and not much has changed since. She is drawn to the quiet, often overlooked moments that reveal something deeply human. Through her work, she seeks to capture the beauty in those hidden moments and give form to the feelings and experiences that are often difficult to put into words.

Art is how she makes sense of the world – and how she shares that understanding with others.
